Jimmy Page & Friends: ‘Live At The Club Palais Ballroom, Nottingham, 1984’ on CD for 1st time

“Live At The Club Palais Ballroom. Nottingham, 1984” from Jimmy Page & Friends is issued for the first time ever on 2CD through Angel Air / Store For Music [Cat No SJPCD600] on 29 November 2019.

Capturing a show hosted as a tribute to the legendary British Bluesman Alexis Korner (who died 1 January died 1984), this release features the Alexis Light Orchestra which was a specially formed supergroup.  The tribute concert took place on 5 June 1984 at the Palais Ballroom in Nottingham, and was originally recorded for Radio broadcast, but is now available on CD.

The line-up is, frankly, jaw-dropping: Jimmy Page on Guitar playing with the Alexis Light Orchestra who feature: Jack Bruce – Bass, vocals, Paul Jones – Harmonica, vocals, Charlie Watts – Drums, Ian Stewart – Piano, Ruby Turner – Vocal and more.
