Kamelot – Album

Revered metal band release
ninth studio album

10 September 2010 sees the release of the much-anticipated album "Poetry For The Poisoned" by Kamelot. The album is to be released on Edel’s international rock label, earMUSIC, distributed in the UK & Republic of Ireland by Absolute via Universal. Featuring guest appearances by some of their peers from the world of Metal [Soilwork, Epica, Gus G], "Poetry For The Poisoned" is a tour de force by a band truly hitting their stride. Their unique fusion of Metal with Progressive Rock with a twist of Gothic flavour has set them apart from their peers and their trajectory continues ever skyward. Frontman Roy Khan describes the work on the album as the "longest and toughest production so far, but when I hear the result I know it was well worth the struggle."

Kamelot hail from Tampa, Florida and were formed in 1991 by ever-present guitarist Thomas Youngblood – and drummer Richard Warner, with Sean Tibbetts on Bass, Mark Vanderbilt on vocals and David Pavlicko on drums. There have been various permutations of the band, most notably Roy Khan [previously of Conception] taking over from Vanderbilt on vocals in 1998, but the 2010 line-up on this ninth studio albums sees Sean Tibbetts rejoin the band. Casey Grillo has been the band’s drummer since 1997 and Oliver Palotai has manned the keyboards since 2005.
The first single to be taken from the new Kamelot album is "The Great Pandemonium", which will be released on 25 October 2010. The truly stunning video can be seen at www.ear-music.net/video/kamelot_thegreatpandemonium.html
"Poetry For The Poisoned" is already making serious waves both in – and far beyond – the Metal scene. With album number nine, Kamelot are proving that truly they are the lords of this realm.
