Live At Montreux 1976

Eagle Records are delighted to announce the release of the “Live At Montreux 1976” album [Cat No. EAGCD451] from Nina Simone on 22 August 2011. This release is part of a batch of high profile Montreux audio releases for summer 2011. “Live At Montreux 1976” includes classic Nina Simone tracks such as “My Baby Just Cares For Me”, “Little Girl Blue”, “Someone To Watch Over Me” and the unique improvisation “African Mailman”.

Nina Simone, one of the truly great female vocalists of the 20th Century, made four appearances at the Montreux Festival between 1968 and 1990. This CD features the whole of her performance from 1976 as the main item, with two bonus tracks from her concert in 1987 to make an outstanding live album.
