ZZ Top

Live In Germany

Eagle Rock Entertainment are proud to announce the release on 17 May 2010 of the “Live In Germany 1980” DVD from ZZ Top [Cat No EREDV799]. This is the first historic ZZ Top concert performance to be approved for release by the band. This release is packed with early ZZ Top classics including: “La Grange”, “Tush”, “Jesus Just Left Chicago”, “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide”, “Heard It On The X”, “Cheap Sunglasses”, “Tube Snake Boogie” and more, many of which remain in their live set to this day.

“Live In Germany” was filmed at the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany for the Rockpalast TV series. Hot on the heels of their classic “Deguello” album (it features 9 of the 10 songs from it) the show finds ZZ Top before sequencers and synthesizers epitomising their “lil’ ol’ blues band from Texas” nickname. Complemented by tracks drawn predominantly from their “Tres Hombres” and “Fandango!” albums, this is a true best of ZZ Top in the seventies.
